The Community Health Division was established by the Board of Health in 2006 with a mission to improve the health status of the residents of Erie County by collaborating with community health partners to monitor community health status, and provide effective interventions that would address high priority health needs. The division is lead by a director and has 6 main areas of focus: epidemiology and surveillance, Erie-Huron WIC (Women, Infants and Children), health education, community outreach and promotion, grant procurement and health assessment.
Partners For Prevention Of Erie County
The Partners for Prevention of Erie County is an active coalition dedicated to reducing youth and adult substance use in the community. It is comprised of members from many local agencies, organizations, schools, and residents of Erie County. Some of these members include law enforcement, mental health and recovery services, healthcare, youth-serving organizations, religious and fraternal groups, parents, and youth.
